IgniteAmerica calls Christians back to the everyday mission of sharing Christ

Barry Meguiar says personal faith-sharing begins with loving people, following the Holy Spirit and trusting God with the results

PHOENIX — At a time when fewer Christians say they feel a strong responsibility to share their faith, IgniteAmerica urges believers to rediscover personal faith-sharing as a natural, everyday expression of Christian life — rooted in love, relationships and a willingness to point others toward Jesus Christ.

Barna research released in December found that 31% of Christians strongly agree they have a personal responsibility to share their faith. That figure reflects a long-term decline, even as recent data show signs of stabilization. Separate Barna research has warned that spiritual conversations are most effective when Christians’ words are matched by lives that authentically embody Jesus.

For Barry Meguiar, founder and president of IgniteAmerica, the answer is not a complicated faith outreach program but a daily decision to love people and trust God with the results.

“Your only job is to love on people, share God’s truth and glory, and let God do the rest. This is what being a Christian is all about. And the door is now wide-open,” Meguiar shared.

That message takes on added significance as the first anniversary of Charlie Kirk’s death approaches. In an op-ed for CBN, Meguiar recalled Kirk’s answer when asked how he wanted to be remembered: “For having the courage to share my faith.” Meguiar wrote that public-policy impact matters, but Kirk understood that influencing lives for eternity carries lasting significance.

“Charlie’s joy came from knowing God was loving those around him through him, including those who opposed him… Everyone can be a ‘Charlie’ when you follow God’s lead to seek and save the lost and move everyone, every day, closer to Jesus,” said Meguiar.

Meguiar says that same calling can shape ordinary conversations at work, in neighborhoods, at car shows or anywhere Christians encounter other people. IgniteAmerica’s mission, “Move Everyone, Every Day, Closer to Jesus,” is built around helping believers recognize those moments without turning relationships into arguments or performances.

“When you allow God’s love to flow through, those around you will share their deepest needs, the Holy Spirit will give you the words to say (Luke 12:12), the life in front of you will be transformed and your faith will explode in all the best ways.”

A recent episode of “Ignite with Barry Meguiar” featuring comedian and public figure George Janko highlights that approach. Their conversation focuses on faith, purpose and allowing daily interactions — including business and career opportunities — to become places where Christians can speak naturally about God.

Meguiar said, “Sharing your faith is fun. There’s nothing more fun than sharing your faith.”

Meguiar has long described his own business life and appearances at car shows as evangelistic opportunities, saying he seeks to bring God naturally into conversations rather than separating faith from the rest of life.

“Christians do not need a platform, a title or a perfect script to share Christ,” Meguiar said. “They need to notice the person God has placed in front of them, listen with genuine love and be willing to follow the Holy Spirit’s lead. When that becomes part of everyday life, faith-sharing stops feeling like an assignment and starts becoming an adventure.”
