As secular content surges, new U-Nite® Kids app offers Christ-centered alternative

‘Parents need to have a fun, faith-focused option that allows their children a safe place to learn more about God and grow while having screen time on their devices,’ says CEF Director of Digital Ministries Andy Meinzinger

ST. LOUIS — There is no denying that today’s children are growing up in a technological minefield. Ninety percent of parents claim that their children under the age of 12 use or interact with a television on a daily basis, with 61%–68% noting their children use tablets or smartphones regularly. Between the rise of artificial intelligence (AI), social media, and the integration of technology in daily academic settings, parents are faced with hurdles no one could have predicted.

To help Christian parents and their children navigate today’s technological maze, Child Evangelism Fellowship® (CEF®) proudly offers a new U-Nite® Kids app (available on the Apple App Store and Google Play), offering children an engaging, interactive path into daily Scripture. Through trusted, Bible-centered resources from CEF, children can discover timeless truths, grow in their relationship with God, and learn how to live out their faith every day.

“The reality is that today’s kids are inundated with technology from all angles,” said CEF Director of Digital Ministries Andy Meinzinger. “It’s almost impossible to stay away from its influence at this point. Parents need to have a fun, faith-focused option that allows their children a healthy alternative that lets them have fun while learning more about God. With the new U-Nite Kids app, kids can enjoy watching, reading, and listening to content that teaches biblical truths. They can also complete daily devotions, earn achievements, memorize God’s Word, and discover God’s truth in the Bible. Parents need to have a fun, faith-focused option that allows their children a safe place to learn more about God and grow while having screen time on their devices.”

By bringing CEF videos, devotionals, and audio together into one convenient hub, U-Nite Kids makes it simple for families to stay grounded in Christ wherever they go. Parents can help bring God’s Word to life when using the complete collection of CEF content, including:

  • CEF video content: Stream exciting, animated Bible lessons, music videos, and Gospel-centered teaching built just for kids.
  • Three years of “Wonder Devotional” books: Help children build a daily habit of walking with God. For the first time ever, the complete “Wonder Devotionals” include full text, hands-on activities, and complete audio narration.
  • Every episode of U-Nite Radio®: Tune in to 250+ episodes of “Good News Heroes” and “Good News Devos,” paired with interactive games that make biblical truth stick.
  • Built-in audio Bible and Gospel adventures: No devotional app is complete without Scripture! Kids can follow the life and ministry of Jesus Christ through guided Gospel readings and full audio Bible integration.

“Even though we launched this app only in English today, we are planning for an expanded global reach and have many additional languages in development,” Meinzinger commented. “U-Nite Kids is laying the groundwork for future translations that will bring God’s Word to children around the world. Children deserve a safe, Christ-centered outlet that is both adventurous and educational, and we at CEF are honored to deliver.”
