‘Alignment 2020’ Virtual Conference Series Equips Financial Advisers with Biblical Principles in Turbulent Times

NACFC Schedules Timothy Plan’s Zachary Covert for August 19 Session

August 10, 2020

ORLANDO, Fla. — Knowing that financial advisers are facing unprecedented challenges as they help investors weather the COVID-19 pandemic fallout, National Association of Christian Financial Consultants (NACFC, www.nacfc.org) is delivering later this month the third of its six monthly installments called “Alignment 2020,” a free virtual conference.

Planned for the third Wednesday afternoon of each month, NACFC has lined up a group of expert speakers who are passionate about equipping financial planners and consultants to commit to Biblically Responsible Investing (BRI) — and helping their clients do the same so they can have peace about their finances even in turbulent times.

The third session will focus on the topic “Aligning Biblical Communication Principles with Your Business to Grow Influence and Demonstrate Hope and Compassion,” featuring Zachary Covert, Director of Advisor Relations for Timothy Plan in the Northeastern and Midwestern U.S.

Joining Timothy Plan in early 2017, Covert has been a corporate sales trainer, motivational speaker and published writer. In 2015, an internet lead generation and business process outsourcing company that Covert founded was bought out by their largest client. After rediscovering his faith, amid difficult circumstances, Covert sought a fresh start and reached out to family friends Art and Steve Ally. He is grateful for the opportunity extended by the Timothy Plan family and considers every day a blessed second chance to be serving God in the workplace. Covert has a BA in Philosophy and Religion from Samford University, and prior to founding his business, he briefly pursued graduate studies at Fuller Theological Seminary.

Covert’s presentation promises to define Biblical communication principles and to show how they can empower and grow a business and break down barriers with clients. His talk will stand on the shoulders of previous presenters at NACFC’s “Alignment 2020” virtual conference. In the first session, Alan Ross laid the foundation of “Aligning Your Business with Godly Principles with the Help of the NACFC.” The second installment, led by Jeff Cave, covered “Digital Engagement for Prospecting and Client Development.”

Other expert speakers who will present timely topics over the six-month span of the virtual conference sessions include the following:

  • SESSION #4—SEPTEMBER 16: God’s Calling to Finance, Called to Service. Speaker: John Parrott
  • SESSION #5—OCTOBER 21: Leadership Requires Balance. Speaker: Brent Owens
  • SESSION #6—NOVEMBER 18: If Jesus Were My Advisor. Speaker: Randy Alcorn (pending)

NACFC is now offering the remaining sessions of the “Alignment 2020” virtual conference free of charge to anyone, member or guest.

Sessions are expected to run for one hour, and special sessions and sponsor presentations may be added. The name of one person from those who attend all six sessions will be drawn to receive free admission to the 2021 NACFC conference.

The mission of the National Association of Christian Financial Consultants is to teach, train and encourage financial professionals to learn, share and instruct biblical stewardship to individuals and families believing that “it profits a man nothing to gain the whole world and lose his soul” (Matthew 16:26). Members will glorify God by impacting their world for Jesus Christ through teaching and practicing biblical stewardship.
