AFA: The point of ‘Sex Week’ supplanting Valentine’s Day is to destroy lives and turn Christian students away from their faith

TUPELO, Miss. — With many colleges across the country celebrating “Sex Week” ahead of Valentine’s Day, American Family Association (AFA, www.afa.net) denounces this perversion of a holiday recognizing Christian martyrs. The events planned at some colleges include “SEXtravaganza,” “Freaky Friday: A Beginner’s Guide to Pleasure,” “Genital Diversity Gallery,” and “Condom Bingo.”
AFA Executive Vice President Ed Vitagliano rejected the introduction of this “progressive” trend, claiming that bringing this influence on campuses is wicked and life-destroying.
“Christian parents must become super vigilant when it comes to choosing colleges and universities for their children. In many cases, the ‘higher education’ that Christian students get is demonstrably wicked,” said Vitagliano. “‘Sex Week,’ for example, instructs students in sexual perversions that will impact them for the rest of their lives. Moreover, these collegiate centers for secularistic and pagan propaganda are turning many Christian kids into just what you’d expect: woke young people who reject Jesus Christ and the authority of Scripture.”
For over 40 years, AFA has operated within the mission to inform, equip and activate individuals to strengthen the moral foundations of American culture and give aid to the church here and abroad in its task of fulfilling the Great Commission. Founded in 1977, AFA has long been on the front lines of America’s culture war. Today, AFA is one of the largest and most effective pro-family organizations in the country, with nearly a million online supporters and approximately 110,000 subscribers to The Stand (formerly known as the AFA Journal), the ministry’s monthly magazine.
