CINCINNATI, Ohio —On her national radio feature “Raising Godly Girls,” Founder and Executive Director of American Heritage Girls Patti Garibay recently discussed the importance of leaving a legacy behind, both for parents and well as their daughters.

Garibay stated, “How is your girl building her legacy? It can sound like a lofty goal for a child! Legacy is a lasting impact on the world, an indelible mark that says, ‘I was here.’

“As Christians, our legacy is especially important. How we live our lives can ultimately aid in spreading the gospel in our world. It’s the discipleship call of Matthew 28.”

Garibay continues, “Encourage your girl to shine in her God-given abilities and leave her legacy. Tackle the fears and doubts she might have about the responsibility she has to impact the world. Consider sharing a legacy journal with your girl, swapping back and forth, asking questions, and giving affirmation. What a treasured memento to look back on for generations—a legacy of its own!”

The “Raising Godly Girls” radio feature and Raising Godly Girls blog shares guidance and biblically based advice on many key topics affecting girls today.
