iVoterGuide Provides Key Information About Candidates so Voters Have Confidence When Casting Their Vote
August 24, 2021
SACRAMENTO — With the California gubernatorial recall election one week in, America is watching closely as Californians vote on two important issues. First, they are voting on whether or not Gavin Newsom should be recalled from the office of Governor. Second, if they do recall Newsom, they are voting on who should replace him. This recall election provides a historic opportunity for conscientious voters to check the power of the Governor’s office and its very real impact on their daily lives. Newsom and fellow Democrats seem convinced that he will remain in office, but recent polls indicate that he is more likely to be recalled than he thinks. If the vote to recall exceeds 50%, then the candidate who receives the most votes will become California’s governor until the November 2022 election. Many voters are still confused about the ballot questions, as well as which of the 47 candidates best represent their values. This is where iVoterGuidecomes in. Providing research to assist voters in choosing between the dozens of contenders, iVoterGuide gives a straightforward and honest approach to the election. Debbie Wuthnow, president of iVoterGuide, stated, “If voters are unsure of what or who to vote for, they just have to ask themselves these questions: Do you agree with Governor Newsom’s stances on abortion, his lockdown of churches, businesses and schools, support for LGBTQ policies, and his views on taxes, green energy, and the homeless crisis? Do some undecided voters even remember his positions? iVoterGuide provides documented reminders of his policies and executive orders, all referenced so that voters can verify for themselves.” When the recall election became apparent, iVoterGuide quickly compiled all the necessary information about the current candidates and gathered links to their websites and social media accounts, as well as listed important ideological donations either given to or by the candidates. For those who have held office, iVoterGuide lists any vote ratings earned. Additionally, each candidate received an issue questionnaire. All information can be found here. Wuthnow declared, “California voters hold the power between August 16 and September 14 to determine the course of their state and likely the nation. They can flip a coin. Or, they can cast an informed vote.” iVoterGuide is a one-stop resource for candidate ratings and election information. In 2020, iVoterGuide’s expert researchers gave an in-depth analysis—and overall rating—from the perspective of unchanging truth for 8,000+ candidates in more than 3,300 races nationwide. Additionally, iVoterGuide offers election dates, registration deadlines, polling locations, and other information needed to help Americans vote wisely and identify candidates on the ballot who share their values. Related tools are also available to inform family, neighbors, and business associates about getting their own personalized ballots. iVoterGuide is helping to restore the principles of limited government, free enterprise, and traditional American values. iVoterGuide also created Pray for Leaders, an easy way for voters to pray by name for the officials whom they personally have the authority to elect. |
