Carter Conlon is the senior pastor of Times Square Church in Manhattan, an interdenominational church with over 10,000 people in attendance, representing over 100 different nationalities and 700 home satellite fellowships worldwide. His newest book, out Nov. 6, 2018, is “It’s Time to Pray.”
In 1994, Carter Conlon was invited by David Wilkerson (author of the best-selling book The Cross and the Switchblade and founding pastor of Times Square Church) to help pastor Times Square Church. He became the senior pastor in 2001. From the very beginning, Conlon’s heart has always demonstrated a passion for prayer. On one occasion God prompted Conlon to call together the churches of New York City to congregate for one hour of prayer on the streets of Manhattan.
Through the overwhelming response to Prayer in the Square, Pastor Conlon introduced two new ministries. The first, Feed New York, is a ministry to churches throughout the five boroughs of New York City who participated in the prayer meeting on Broadway. This ministry supplies healthy food to these churches that are committed to helping people in their community who struggle to provide food for themselves and their families Conlon was resolute in his faith and believed all things were possible with God, even a prayer meeting in the middle of Times Square, at the crossroads of the world. As a result, Prayer in the Square was birthed and Christians from all denominations assembled on Broadway. This phenomenon grew from 10,000, to 20,000 to 50,000 each consecutive year. Conlon and the Times Square Church choir led this event that was attended by Mayor Michael Bloomberg, as he declared that Sunday as Prayer in the Square Day.
Conlon’s one-minute devotional, It’s Time to Pray, continues to be featured on 1010 WINS, the nation’s most listened to all-news station. In addition, these segments are syndicated on over 320 Christian radio outlets across the nation. Pastor Conlon’s tireless energy to get the message out has opened the way for a new weekly, half-hour radio program, A Call to the Nation. This program is carried by radio outlets throughout the country and continues to grow.
Conlon has authored several additional books, which include The 180-Degree Christian, Fear Not, Unshakable, and his soon to be released autobiographical book, It’s Time to Pray.
Pastor Conlon continues to actively serve on the Board of Directors for World Challenge (a ministry founded by David Wilkerson) and Summit International School of Ministry. Pastor Carter is married to Dr. Teresa Conlon, President of Summit International School of Ministry and an associate pastor at Times Square Church in New York City.
The Conlons have three children and eight grandchildren.
Brigitte Gabriel started ACT for America in an effort to protect the citizens of the United States from the horrors she experienced as a young girl in her native Lebanon. When Gabriel was 10 years old, militant radical Islamists launched rockets into her family’s home in their Christian town in southern Lebanon, destroying her home and seriously injuring her as they raged war against the “infidels.” Her family was forced to seek refuge in an underground 8-foot-by-10- foot bomb shelter, where they lived for the next seven years. Often surviving on mere weeds, they had to crawl through a ditch to get water from a nearby spring while avoiding Islamic snipers.
After several perilous years, Gabriel moved to Israel before subsequently becoming a proud citizen of the greatest nation on earth; the United States of America. Today, she is the one of the leading terrorism experts in the world, providing information and analysis on the rise of global Islamic terrorism. She lectures nationally and internationally about terrorism and current affairs.
She has addressed the United Nations, the Australian Prime Minister, members of the British Parliament/House of Commons, Members of the United States Congress, top-ranked Pentagon officials, the Joint Forces Staff College, the U.S. Special Operations Command, the U.S. Asymmetric Warfare group, the FBI and many others. The top General for the Israel Defense Forces nicknamed Brigitte “The Iron Women.” In addition, she is a regular guest analyst on Fox News Channel, CNN, MSNBC and various radio stations daily across America. She serves on the board of advisers of the Intelligence Summit.
In addition to serving as the Founder and Chairman of ACT for America, she is a celebrated author of two New York Times Best Sellers, “Because They Hate: A Survivor of Islamic Terror Warns America,” and “They Must Be Stopped: Why We Must Defeat Radical Islam and How We Can Do It.” Her third book, “Rise” will be released by Charisma House on Sept. 11, 2018.
Lady Gabriel was knighted in Europe in 2016 for her international work on fighting terrorism and standing up for Western Values. She joins a long list of knights including former Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, Nelson Mandela, Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Henry Kissinger and others.
Gabriel has been named one of the top 50 most prominent speakers in America. She speaks Arabic, French, English and Hebrew. In today’s environment, she stands alone as an individual who has experienced terrorism first-hand, now leading U.S. citizens in the national security arena and enabling them to protect themselves, their families, their communities, and the democratic values and traditions of the United States of America.
