Dan Celia: 270 is the Big Number of the Day

November 4, 2020

PHILADELPHIA—Nationally syndicated host and biblical investing authority Dan Celia discusses the incoming election results.

“The big number of the day, of course, is not anything about the Dow or the S and P or the NASDAQ. It’s the number 270 that is needed in the electoral college to be the next president of the United States. If we looked at the enthusiasm in voting on Tuesday, folks it is like we have never seen in our lifetime. And I doubt seriously that we will ever see this kind of voting turnout with this much enthusiasm for a candidate or any sitting president like we saw on Tuesday. And if you think that we have been living with four years of angry, bitter, far-left liberals, you haven’t seen anything yet. It’s unfortunate to say, but cities around the country, all democratic cities calling out the national guard, selling more plywood than anyone can imagine, boarding up their places of business, their shops, their offices and expecting the worse.

“It’s going to be an interesting rest of the week. Pennsylvania is definitely not going to make a call until they get all votes counted, and that could take a couple of days. That’s what all the news is going to be about this week. That’s all we’re going to be seeing and hearing about, but we do have some economic news coming out on Friday and Thursday with productivity numbers coming out. We’ve already had great manufacturing index numbers come out, but we get a new unemployment rate, which I expect is going to go a little lower. And the private sector jobs number, which I expect is going to go a little higher. So, I think there’s going to be all good news. Productivity is probably the most important number to confirm the strong underlying fundamentals of this economy.”

Celia discusses these and other global and economic headlines on his daily, three-hour Financial Issues program, heard on more than 660 radio stations and several television networks nationwide, including FISM.TV, viewed on several post-cable television platforms and online.
