Dan Celia: Saule Omarova and the Banking Sector

October 20, 2021

PHILADELPHIA—Nationally syndicated host and biblical investing authority Dan Celia discussed the recent controversy surrounding Saule Omarova and what her nomination for Comptroller of the Currency would mean for the banking sector.

Celia stated, “The democratic party has issues over Joe Biden’s pick for Comptroller of the Currency in the Department of Treasury, Cornell professor Saule Omarova. Omarova is who Biden has nominated for one of the most important banking industry regulator positions in the country. Her candidacy is being jeopardized by several defections from the democratic party. It seems she is just too radical to be nominated for this office.

“If she did get approved for the position, it would be devastating to the banking sector. She has some very distinctive plans, thoughts and ideas on how to overhaul the regulatory system for banks, which would cause major problems. The likelihood of her leading this office is pretty slim. Apparently, if even two of the senators defect, they will probably not put her name up for a vote. Thankfully, there are still a couple that believe in a logical system of controls without overstepping the existing boundaries. This will make sure that our monetary and backing system stays well intact.”

Celia discusses these and other global and economic headlines on his daily, three-hour Financial Issues program, heard on more than 660 radio stations and several television networks nationwide, including FISM.TV, viewed on several post-cable television platforms and online.
