Clinton’s Newest Book, ‘Focus on the Future,’ Examines the Damage of an Emasculated America

October 25, 2021

LYNCHBURG, VA.— In his new book, Focus on the Future: Your Family, Your Faith, and Your Voice Matter Now More Than Ever, released this month , Dr. Tim Clinton clearly and concisely outlines the battle for masculinity that is permeating modern culture, highlighting the importance of father figures in the family unit and identifying key areas of concern for boys and men across America.

“A fatherless America,” Clinton argues, “is at the heart of the men’s crisis and a hundred other dysfunctions society suffers from today because men, for the most part, are not what they should be.”

Acknowledging that men in history have behaved poorly, Clinton argues that this negative behavior from boys stems from a lack of godly models both in the home and in society.

Clinton states, “I want you to understand that most of the irresponsibility of younger men is a result of deep dysfunctions absorbed from our dysfunctional society. Our men’s crisis has resulted from a convergence of some of the most deep-seated ills of American life today.”

Citing the high divorce rates, lack of father figures in the home, the accessibility of pornography, and the addiction to social media as pivotal factors in the war against men, Clinton urges his readers to fight for traditional masculinity amidst cultural pressure to blend the masculine and feminine.

If society does not address these key issues for men in America, the outlook is not promising. Clinton claims, “We live in a society that condemns masculinity, that tells boys from an early age that they are toxic, destructive, and deformed.” The result of this condemnation is men who have no guidance for their innate masculinity and therefore fall victim to the misguided methods of modern culture.

“If we are going to turn these realities around, we need more champions of men and of godly manhood,” Clinton summarizes. “The future of America depends on it. The darker the times, the more urgently God calls men to stand secure in who they are in Him and lead our families, our communities, and our nation forward.”

As the president of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), Clinton is familiar with these issues, as well as how to address them. In his new book, he reveals:
