#EndFGMToday.com is a movement to raise awareness nationwide about the horrors of female genital mutilation (FGM). According to the Centers for Disease Control, more than half a million girls and women in America have already been subjected to such mutilation—or are at risk of having it inflicted upon them. FGM has also been condemned as a hideous violation of human rights by the United Nations and the World Health Organization.

Elizabeth Yore
Elizabeth Yore has spent 30 years in legal child advocacy. She serves as the head of the national initiative “End FGM Today” and previously served as Special Counsel at Harpo, Inc. as Oprah Winfrey’s child advocate. She was also General Counsel at the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services for eight years and the General Counsel at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
