Fellowship of Christian Athletes Makes Amazing Global Strides Through International Ministry
FCA International Now Serving in 84 Countries Through 242 Leaders and Reaching Tens of Thousands of Coaches and Athletes Through Camps, Huddles and Workshops
KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Throughout more than a decade, the presence of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA, www.fca.org) around the world has experienced tremendous growth, and over the past year alone, FCA International has expanded from 62 countries into 84 through the faithfulness of 242 international leaders.
“FCA International started from humble beginnings with five camps reaching 760 competitors in 2007,” said Executive Director of International Ministry Dan Britton. “Over the past 12 years, God has breathed on the international movement, and FCA International now has more than 300 Camps reaching over 30,000 coaches and athletes. From Olympic committees to youth programs, the 3Dimensional Coaching training has also been catalytic by providing coaches a clear game plan to capture the hearts of their players. But perhaps the most significant growth has been within the Huddle program, which brings together small groups of coaches and athletes to get into God’s Word together. We desire to engage, equip and empower coaches and athletes by developing small groups in local communities, and transformation happens when coaches and athletes circle up and connect while studying the Bible. They go further and faster together!”
Besides reaching tens of thousands of coaches and athletes through 304 Camps, FCA’s 3D Coaching program has reached 3,323 coaches through 103 workshops. The number of FCA Huddles internationally has more than doubled since last year, from 876 groups to an amazing 1,775 groups reaching 35,018 attendees. Through all FCA International events and efforts—and by God’s grace—6,904 outside the U.S. made faith decisions for Christ.
FCA International regularly receives feedback from those impacted across the world, such as one FCA leader from East Asia, who said, “After training, I feel strong and ready to fight for Christ!” Another Ukrainian leader commented, “This work we do opens doors to work with coaches in places to share the Gospel.”
“FCA’s vision is to reach every coach, every athlete, every team and every community in every country!” said Silas Mullis, FCA International Director of Field Support. “The Gospel is spreading throughout the whole world and bearing fruit.”
