All Are Invited as CCO Celebrates 50 Years of God’s Transformational Work in the Lives of College Students

April 19, 2021

PITTSBURGH — As part of a year-long 50th anniversary celebration, Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO) will be hosting the Next Generation Celebration, a virtual event on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 7 pm. This online event continues to be a cornerstone of CCO’s annual fundraising. Attendees will be inspired by stories, enjoy a musical performance from an original Jubilee artist, participate in auction bidding and more. The money raised will support and grow the ministry on campuses across the nation.

“The Next Generation Celebration has raised millions of dollars to reach college students on campuses across the country,” said Dupee. “This year has been tough – between the pandemic, racial and social unrest, the divisive election and more, everyone has experienced hardship. This year more than ever, students need the hope of Jesus Christ and we need your support in reaching them.

“We will celebrate our 50th anniversary by looking back at God’s faithfulness seen in our organization and next year by looking forward to where God is taking this ministry. During the event, we will highlight the work God has done in the lives of many students through CCO and raise the vital funds to continue supporting our work.”

For 50 years,CCO staff have reached out to college students by entering into their world. They are on the college campus daily – at athletic practices, in cafeterias, student centers, coffee shops, residence halls, and sometimes even classrooms. CCO staff meets students where they are.

The college and university campus are the most strategic mission fields in the world, with only 2% of students being reached with the Gospel. CCO partners with local church congregations to help students feel a sense of belonging. A community is formed between the CCO staff and students, who are invited into the lives of local congregations. Through this community of fellowship, CCO is able to minister to the students in a life-changing way.
