Is an Artificial Intelligence Antichrist Possible?
Signs of the End Times Point to Yes, Says Author Pastor Mark Biltz in New Book ‘Decoding the Antichrist and the End Times’
TACOMA, Wash.—Most people likely consider artificial intelligence as relatively harmless—maybe “creepy” at worst and, at best, perhaps helpful in medical and technological advances.
But how many would connect the dots between AI and the arrival of the Antichrist?
Pastor Mark Biltz, author of the new book, “Decoding the Antichrist and the End Times: What the Bible Says and What the Future Holds,” says AI is something that should be considered in the overall picture of the end times.
For example, he points to these recent headlines:
- Can a computer tell you when you’re going to die? —Fox News
- A Quarter of Europeans Prefer AI Government—European Tech Insights
- Brain implants on way to revolutionise AI for humans—UK Daily Star
- Creepy AI will reportedly spot shoplifters before they steal—Fox News
- Neuroscientist Researching Brain Chips To Make People Superintelligent—CBS
In “Decoding the Antichrist,” Biltz takes an in-depth look at some of the deepest questions surrounding the Antichrist. A central theme of the book is the role of technology in our future, and even whether the Antichrist will have an artificial intelligence element.
Biltz says we now live in an era where, for the first time, the possibility exists of an AI antichrist—a human-computer hybrid that will demand to be worshipped.
“Have you ever wondered if it’s OK to have Alexa, Siri and other forms of AI in your home?” Biltz writes in “Decoding the Antichrist.” “We know that the Bible says great deception is coming, so what is a concerned believer to do? Life and history go through continually repeating cycles just as our seasons do. Because humanity is basically the same, these cycles repeat themselves with different characters and scenes. We can learn a lot about the end times when we understand these cycles, and it’s critical to understand the modus operandi of the Antichrist so you won’t be deceived.
“Humanity is desperately seeking someone with a strong hand to take the helm and bring about world peace,” the author adds. “Some look for a strong leader who has the ability to compromise and appease every faction to stop all the madness. But what character traits are truly needed to navigate the strong currents of public opinion that shape the world we live in?”
“Decoding the Antichrist and the End Times” asks and seeks to answer the following questions:
- What does the Bible say about the Antichrist, his tactics and his motivation?
- Will he be a Muslim, a Jew or a professed Christian—or something else?
- Will the Antichrist work through modern technology to seize control?
“I believe we are truly entering the final chapter on this world’s stage, and the curtain will soon be coming down or rolled away,” Biltz says. “I am not claiming to know how many pages are left in God’s script, but those who have eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit of God is saying know it is time to start packing your bags, spiritually speaking. It’s time to listen for the sound of the shofar!”
Mark Biltz is founder of El Shaddai Ministries and a well-known and popular commentator on the feasts of the Lord. In fact, he has produced a series of DVDs on the feasts that have gone around the world. Biltz is also the author of “Blood Moons” and “God’s Day Timer.” His research and theories have led to guest appearances on both radio and television as well as being featured on the covers of magazines.
“Decoding the Antichrist and the End Times” was released last month by Charisma House, which has published books that challenge, encourage, teach and equip Christians, including 14 New York Times bestsellers.
