The FBI, Emails, Markets and Election—How They All Intersect

Financial Expert Dan Celia Says Markets Responded to a Fresh Review of Clinton Emails; How Will Hillary’s Plan Be Good for America?

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—Smack dab in the middle of 24-hour election coverage, the FBI yesterday announced it has cleared Hillary Clinton—yet again—as FBI Director James Comey stated that the “agency hasn’t changed its opinion that Hillary Clinton should not face criminal charges after a review of new emails,” reported CNN.

Financial expert and nationally syndicated host Dan Celia, leader of Financial Issues Stewardship Ministries (FISM, www.financialissues.org), released this statement following Sunday’s FBI announcement.

“The ideological blinders are still firmly in place on the markets,” Celia said. “Just one day before the election, the markets are all about emails, and the possibility of a Clinton victory seems to be a bit closer.”

Celia also pointed out some observations about the markets’ relation to the investigation into the Clinton email scandal:

  • U.S. stock futures increased with the fresh review of Clinton emails
  • European stocks moved higher after the FBI’s review of the emails
  • Gold futures slid more than 1 percent on a fresh reviews of emails
  • The U.S. dollar is higher against Mexico’s peso on a fresh reviews of emails; this likely is one logical headline today, as the lack of a wall between the two nations will be positive for Mexico
  • NASDAQ futures surged 1.7 percent once the FBI reported “no charges”
  • Crude oil futures climb on a fresh reviews of emails; one can only assume that the oil industry believes that Clinton’s EPA will be “in love” with oil, Celia added

“Americans woke up to many irrational headlines this morning,” he continued, “and as someone who studies global economies continually, I find it incredibly hard to believe that the markets could actually be swayed on the belief that more government control, fewer free market opportunities and deeper debt—all part of Hillary’s plan—will be good for America and American companies.”

“Financial Issues” recently began streaming on its own YouTube Channel, Financial Issues with Dan Celia. The ministry also recently introduced the new Financial Issues app; learn more here.
