The Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ (FCA) vision is to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. Its mission is to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. FCA’s guiding values are integrity, serving, teamwork and excellence.

Since 1954, FCA has used and the powerful medium of sports and building relationships to reach the world for Jesus Christ. FCA is cultivating Christian principles by engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to know and grow in Christ and lead others to do the same so that lives are changed for current and future generations.  Reaching approximately two million people annually on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels, FCA focuses its efforts on ministering “to and through” coaches, on campuses of all sizes, through its popular Camps program and in local communities across the globe. Shane Williamson was named the eighth president and CEO of Fellowship of Christian Athletes in October 2016 and officially began leading the international sports ministry on Jan. 1, 2017.

Before becoming president of FCA, Williamson served as FCA’s Executive Director of Field Ministry since September 2014 and has been involved with FCA for 24 years. He was also the Vice President of Field Ministry for the Carolinas from 2011-2014, Multi-Area Director for Metro Atlanta from 2005-2011 and the Area Director for Upstate South Carolina from 2002-2005.

Before Williamson’s employment with the ministry, he was involved with FCA as a sponsor while working as a teacher and coach from 1992-2002 in four South Carolina high schools. That decade of hands-on experience allows Williamson to personally understand and relate to coaches and athletes on a unique level.

A native of Loris, S.C., Williamson attended Wofford College, earning a bachelor’s degree in biology while playing football for current coach Mike Ayers and serving as an officer in the FCA Huddle there. He then attended Converse College, earning a master’s degree in secondary education.

Williamson and his wife, Angel, have four children. He enjoys coaching his daughter in soccer as well as both his daughter and son in basketball and flag football. Download headshot…

Dan Britton serves as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ Chief Field Officer and has been on staff since 1990. Dan played professional lacrosse for four years for the Baltimore Thunder. He has coauthored six books, “One Word,” “One Word for Kids,” “Life Word,” “Wisdom Walks,” “True Competitor” and “Called to Greatness;” and he is the author and editor of 12 FCA books. He still plays and coaches lacrosse and enjoys running marathons and blogging at He and his wife, Dawn, reside in Overland Park, Kansas, and they have three adult children and two sons-in-law. Download headshot…
