Paul Anderson Named Executive Vice President of Technology for Fellowship of Christian Athletes

KANSAS CITY, Mo—The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA, www.fca.org) has announced that Paul Anderson has been named Executive Vice President of Technology.

“We are excited to welcome Paul Anderson to FCA’s executive leadership team,” said FCA President and CEO Shane Williamson. “Paul comes to FCA from Compassion International, where he served for 17 years, and has worked in technology around the world. We look forward to the expertise and passion he will bring to FCA.”

Most recently, Anderson served as Director of Agile and IT Service Management for Compassion International, a billion-dollar ministry that operates in 38 countries. At Compassion, Anderson worked with the executive team, senior leaders, and key external partners and vendors to drive acceptance, adoption and successful change management of a challenging enterprise transformation project. He is an experienced technology executive with deep technical roots and, throughout his career, has built networks in East and West Africa and designed and implemented enterprise technology solutions.

The Swift Current, Saskatchewan, native was raised in a Christian family, and while attending the family’s nondenominational church, accepted Christ at the age of 7. His Christian journey also included a profound call to give his life to Christ as a teenager while attending a youth conference hosted at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri.

Anderson’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity Western University in 1998, along with a Bachelor of Education through a partnership school, Simon Fraser University, in 1999. He then studied to become a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), and in 2005, went on to earn a Master of Science in Information Technology Management degree from Colorado Technical University. Anderson is also a gifted educator who has both designed and taught master’s level classes while working as an adjunct faculty member at Colorado Technical University.

Anderson and his wife, Teri, have four children ranging in age from 9 to 17. The family is relocating to the Kansas City area from Colorado. His new post began Sept. 1.
