PHILADELPHIA—Nationally syndicated host and biblical investing authority Dan Celia said today that President Trump’s nomination of Amy Coney Barrett is another promise kept—appointing conservative judges.
“Once again, we saw over the weekend President Trump keeping his promises that he made during the beginning of his first campaign—the appointment of conservative judges to the Supreme Court. Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the Supreme Court is just another promise kept by President Trump.
“This, of course, is going to start to force the Democrats to do something they do not want to do, and that is to actually do their jobs and legislate from the legislative branch of government. They will not be able to depend on the courts legislating from the bench, particularly, many of the Federal courts, and especially, the Supreme Court. They are not going to be able to depend on judges making decisions based on their ideology or the ideology of the Socialist, Communist or Marxist Parties. They have to do some real legislative work: they will have to read the bill, and they might even have to read the Constitution that they swore to uphold.
“I would like to remind everyone of what President Obama said (I am paraphrasing)…Elections have consequences so suck it up and live with it.
“The Democrats refuse to believe that elections have consequences. Or maybe they need to understand that they must actually get people to vote for the agenda that they love so much. Maybe they’ve placed too much emphasis on the abilities of the courts to legislate for them as opposed to getting the people to vote for them. They continue to make fools of themselves and operate as if they still have a voter base that is ill-informed, ignorant, stupid, and lacking all common sense and totally out of touch with reality. They certainly are learning this lesson the hard way – or are they?
“The fact is, elections do have consequences and they have particularly strong consequences when the person that is elected is passionate about keeping his promises to the American people. We have a president who cares more for the health and wellbeing of the American people, the American workers, and the exceptionalism of America. He continues to work for America’s prosperity as ‘One Nation Under God’—a goal that we still need to be striving for. This President’s competitive nature is true and right, desiring economic dominance over China and Russia, and America’s military might that is stronger than any nation in the world. He understands that peace through strength is what will keep America great and keep the world safe. He knows elections matter.
“The Trump agenda, the Trump vision of American greatness has to continue to move forward. I find it hard to believe that Senator Lindsey Graham would postpone this hearing until the 12th of October, I think that is despicable and I’m hoping that everybody will call his office immediately and urge him to get these hearings started immediately. Democrats have already said they are not going to meet with Judge Barrett, but it would appear as though Lindsey Graham has maybe forgotten what side he’s on.
‘We the People’ can continue to save America and put feet to our faith, voting our way to a God-Given victory. Because of the President’s promises to the American people, above all else, we will have a Supreme Court that can uphold and rule on the Constitution of the United States for the next two generations. One of the truest statements ever made by President Obama—elections have consequences.”
