The Greatest Story Ever Told Is Also a Redemptive And Courageous Journey of Adoption

WASHINGTON D.C. — God gives us courage as He unleashes miracles. The Christmas story itself is the outcome of that (humanly) unplanned pregnancy over 2,000 years ago resulting in humanity’s eternal freedom.
The birth of Christ is arguably the most famous story of adoption in the world—a young woman conceives a child out of wedlock yet her new husband rejects fear and cultural pressure by accepting and loving both mother and child. The Christmas story illustrates the power of choosing life—something that Ryan Bomberger, chief creative officer and co-founder of The Radiance Foundation (Radiance, www.radiance.life), is extraordinarily passionate about. Bomberger was conceived through rape yet adopted in love by his parents who went on to adopt nine more children of various ages, ethnicities and abilities.
“Christmas embodies everything good about humanity,” said Bomberger. “The paradigm of adoption was revealed in a courageous teen mother with a humanly unplanned pregnancy (certainly Divinely planned) who braved a crazed King who tried to kill her child, a father who chose to love rather than to leave, and a Savior who would sacrifice himself in order to offer redemption, adoption and transformation to those who confess and believe.”

The story of the birth of Christ emphasizes the beauty of adoption and shows the world that all life—even what many consider ‘unplanned’—has a purpose.”
