PEIORIA, IL — Every day, members of Samaritan Ministries International (Samaritan, www.samaritanministries.org) work to:

  • Glorify God by equipping the Body of Christ to love and serve one another.
  • Harness the collective strength of the Church by modeling and facilitating connections between members of the Body of Christ.
  • See the Body of Christ fully engaged in practicing Biblical community in every area of life.

Samaritan recently compiled member comments testifying how families believe the ministry is trulyliving up to its mission. In messages to Samaritan, members wrote about how grateful they are to be part of such a caring and prayer-driven community.

From Joshua and Lydia in Montana: “We are so thankful for Samaritan Ministries! Knowing we have brothers and sisters in Christ looking out for us is such an amazing feeling! We love knowing who we send our check to every month and are so thankful for how this connects us as believers!”

From Jason and Susan in Pennsylvania: “We are so very glad that we signed up with Samaritan Ministries nearly six years ago! We have seen its benefits several times since becoming members. I (Susan) had a major and unexpected surgery in January of this year and had such a peace going into it, knowing how the sharing process works. We certainly were not disappointed. The checks and notes poured in through the mail and we were able to settle all accounts with the providers in a very reasonable time. Thank you, Samaritan Ministries, for your faithfulness!”

From Garrett and Kayla in Indiana: “Being able to share needs with others is a blessing that we would never receive from insurance! Very thankful for the opportunity.”

From James and Amy in Oregon: “It blesses us when we see special needs shared of friends in our local area. This is a real blessing to help the family of God near and far!”

From Cheryl in New Hampshire: “I am so very thankful. During this time of feeling weak and overwhelmed, my interactions with Samaritan have been part of God’s provision for me. Knowing that you folks are caring and praying has lifted me up. Thank you to everyone who has helped get my need ready for sharing. As a Christian schoolteacher, I follow the wise money budgeting procedures, but I do not have much wiggle room. Seeing Samaritan in action has filled my heart with praise to the Lord for His people caring for each other in this way. So, thank you to the team. I am very grateful indeed.”

From David and Jacqueline in North Carolina: “We love the prayers and knowing our money is going to other believers rather than to insurance companies who support causes we do not agree with AND coerce their customers to use specific doctors and care based on what THEY decide and not always what is most affordable or will cure the issue”

Samaritan Ministries members are devoted followers of Christ with the same historical beliefs. They are spread out across the nation and the world are deeply connected to one another when a health care need arises. Theirs are stories of hope, healing, and faith.
