March 12, 2020

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—In a world where very little seems certain, Southern Evangelical Seminary (SES, www.ses.edu) wants believers to know there’s one thing to which they can “hold fast”—the historic Christian faith.

SES is announcing its 2020 National Conference on Christian Apologetics (NCCA), set for Oct. 16-17 at Calvary Church in Charlotte. The seminary will focus on the theme of “Hold Fast” for the 27th annual conference by welcoming some of the nation’s top apologetics speakers.

Attended by thousands from around the country, SES’s annual conference has provided Christians with the tools, knowledge and motivation to defend their beliefs in a culture that is sometimes hostile toward Christianity.

Many facets of the culture may seem to be crumbling, from politics and morality, and in too many cases even the church and family,” said SES President and Evangelical leader Dr. Richard Land, who will also serve as a conference speaker. “Therefore, to what can we ‘Hold Fast’? The things of this Earth are temporary, but the truth of inerrant Scripture is unchanging, unwavering and forever. As 1 Thessalonians 5:21 says, ‘Prove all things; hold fast that which is good’ (KJV).

“For the 27th annual National Conference of Christian Apologetics,” Land continued, “we look forward to welcoming the nation’s best thinkers, scholars, authors, apologists and scientific minds who will address the thousands in attendance here in Charlotte.

Besides Land, confirmed speakers at the 2020 conference this fall will include Kristen Davis, Gary Habermas, Richard Howe, Abdu Murray, Hugh Ross, John Stonestreet, Frank Turek and Daniel Wallace, among many others.

“I can’t recommend SES any more highly,” Turek, an alumnus and adjunct professor, has said of SES. “There’s no better place to come to get to know God and make Him known.”

Said Isaac on Facebook, “This is a fantastic school that will aid you in digging deep into your faith, encourages you to ask questions and welcomes dialogue. I am proud to be learning from SES and attend their wonderful apologetics conference every year.

And added another attendee, “An accessible crash course that will sharpen the mind of the established Christian apologist or open the floodgates for the curious newbie.”

Tickets are on sale now for the event in Charlotte, and as always, the early bird deadline is Aug. 1. SES will give away a free apologetics Bible with tickets that are purchased early. Learn more at conference.ses.edu.
