Acclaimed Speaker, Columnist and Author Tish Harrison Warren Presenting ‘Restoration’ at ‘Jubilee’ on Feb. 27
January 25, 2021
PITTSBURGH— The Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO) will be hosting the virtual Jubilee Conference 2021: Every Square Inch on Saturday, February 27. Hosting the Jubilee Conference in a pandemic has given the annual event a venue make-over, but the purpose has not changed.
In addition to twenty simultaneous workshops on faith and vocation will be four main event speakers. Among those speakers is noted speaker, columnist, and author Tish Harrison Warren.
Tish Harrison Warren, who will present “Restoration” at Jubilee Conference 2021: Every Square Inch, is the author of Liturgy of the Ordinary: Sacred Practices in Everyday Life, which was Christianity Today’s 2018 Book of the Year, and the forthcoming Prayer in the Night: For Those Who Work, or Watch, or Weep (IVP, 2021).
Harrison Warren, the former co-associate rector at Church of the Ascension in Pittsburgh, Pa., has worked in ministry settings for over a decade as a campus minister with InterVarsity Graduate and Faculty Ministries, as an associate rector, with those suffering from addiction, those in poverty through various churches and non-profit organizations, and, was formerly the writer-in-residence at Church of the Ascension.
A monthly columnist with Christianity Today, Harrison Warren’s articles and essays have appeared in the New York Times, Religion News Service, Christianity Today, Comment Magazine, The Point Magazine, and elsewhere. She is a founding member of The Pelican Project and a Senior Fellow with the Trinity Forum.
“Our God is not confined by social distancing,” Dan Dupee, former Chairman of the Board for Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO), said. “Our lives have changed during the age of COVID-19—but Jesus has not. We are all still called to serve Jesus Christ with our entire lives. In a world full of uncertainty, Jesus invites you to look towards the hope of the kingdom.”
At the Jubilee Conference, attendees will be invited into Jesus’ story, breaking down the four-part Gospel narrative to discover how every square inch of creation is the Lord’s… including you. Attendees will leave with a vision for their lives, equipped with the tools to begin to transform the world in the name of Jesus Christ and that every square inch of life can be redeemed for the glory of God.
Joining Harrison Warren will be scheduled speakers Ashlee Eiland, formation and preaching pastor at Mars Hill Bible Church (Grand Rapids, Michigan), motivational speaker and author who will present Creation; Jon Tyson, pastor and church planter (New York City), motivational speaker and author who will present Fall; and Timotheus Pope, director of SB2Dub Citikidz, a Christian sports camp, motivational speaker and author who will present Redemption.
Currently, the early bird registration fee for this virtual event is $30 per attendee. However, on Thursday, January 28 at 11:59 p.m., that price will be $40.
The college and university campus is the most strategic mission field in the world, with only 2% of students being reached with the Gospel. CCO partners with local church congregations to help students feel a sense of belonging. A community is formed between the CCO staff and students, who are invited into the lives of local congregations. Through this community of fellowship, CCO is able to minister to the students in a life-changing way.
