Who Will Call Students Towards Christ? Is it You? Virtual Conference Scheduled for Saturday, February 27.
January 18, 2021
PITTSBURGH— Every square inch of life can be redeemed for the glory of God. Many college students are finding themselves caught in a cycle of trying to find hope for their future. Those that attend Jubilee will be invited into Jesus’ story, breaking down the four-part Gospel narrative to discover how every square inch of creation is the Lord’s…including each one of us.
“At Jubilee, you’ll be invited into Jesus’ story, breaking down the four-part Gospel narrative to discover how every square inch of creation is the Lord’s … including you,” Dan Dupee, former Chairman of the Board for Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO), said. “You’ll leave Jubilee with a vision for your life, equipped with the tools to transform the world in the name of Jesus Christ.”
Hosting Jubilee in a pandemic has given the annual event a venue make-over, but the purpose has not changed. “Our God is not confined by social distancing,” Dupee continued. “Our lives have changed during the age of Covid-19—but Jesus has not. We are all still called to serve Jesus Christ with our entire lives. In a world full of uncertainty, Jesus invites you to look towards the hope of the kingdom.”
In addition to twenty simultaneous workshops on faith and vocation will be four main event speakers. Scheduled speakers to appear are Ashlee Eiland, formation and preaching pastor at Mars Hill Bible Church (Greater Chicago Area), motivational speaker and author who will present Creation; Jon Tyson, pastor and church planter (New York City), motivational speaker and author who will present Fall; Timotheus Pope, director of SB2Dub Citikidz, a Christian sports camp, motivational speaker and author who will present Redemption; and Tish Harrison Warren, priest in the Anglican Church in North America, motivational speaker and author who will present Restoration.
The college and university campus is the most strategic mission field in the world, with only 2% of students being reached with the Gospel. CCO partners with local church congregations to help students feel a sense of belonging. A community is formed between the CCO staff and students, who are invited into the lives of local congregations. Through this community of fellowship, CCO is able to minister to the students in a life-changing way.
