Thousands Learn About ‘The God Who Is’ at Southern Evangelical Seminary’s 25th Annual Apologetics Conference

Ravi Zacharias, Josh McDowell, Chip Ingram and More Speak to Attendees About Truly Knowing God in a Culture That Has Pushed Him Away

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Nearly 3,000 attendees gathered in Charlotte this past weekend to hear from 80 apologetic speakers in 102 inspiring sessions over two days.

And the effects are sure to last a lifetime.

With an incredible lineup of speakers, Southern Evangelical Seminary (SES) has wrapped up its 25th annual National Conference on Christian Apologetics (NCCA). The premier apologetics conference held this past weekend at Calvary Church has helped attendees navigate an increasingly complex culture in a thoughtful and God-honoring way for a quarter of a century.

Plenary speakers Ravi Zacharias, Josh McDowell and Chip Ingram were joined by more than 75 additional speakers, including Natasha Crain, Norm Geisler, Gary Habermas, Richard Howe, Hugh Ross, Frank Turek, and J. Warner Wallace, plus many more.

“The entire SES family is grateful to God for the outstanding success of our 25th annual conference,” said SES President and Evangelical leader Dr. Richard Land, who also served as a conference speaker, along with SES co-founder Dr. Norman Geisler. “I have received nothing but rave reviews from attendees. Numerous people noticed the fact that the crowd this year was younger, with many young people in attendance. That is a tremendous encouragement to us at SES, since our goal, as stated by our founder Dr. Geisler, is ‘to train trainers, teach teachers and disciple disciplers, so the cycle never ends.’ I believe attendees left encouraged, inspired and motivated to defend and share their faith. Also, while we prayed for those who were impacted by Hurricane Florence, we are grateful to God that He answered our prayers and gave us beautiful weather for the conference.”

SES also hosted a women’s pre-conference on Oct. 11 at SES’s new campus home in West Ballantyne area of Charlotte. “Ladies’ Night” served as an evening of thoughtful presentations from several female representatives from SES on a variety of apologetics issues. View the conference website here.
