As Last-Minute Voters Make Their Voices Heard, iVoterGuide Provides Key Information About Candidates

September 13, 2021

SACRAMENTO — With only one day left to vote in the California gubernatorial recall election, America watches with anticipation for answers to two key questions: Should Gavin Newsom be recalled from the office of Governor? If so, who should replace him? How voters answer these two questions could transform the political landscape of both California and the rest of the country for years to come.

Recent reports indicate that only 28% of Californians have cast their ballots so far, and with only one day left, they are running out of time to make their voices heard. With 47 candidates who represent a myriad of perspectives, this election provides a unique opportunity for the people of California to enact the change they wish to see in their own home state.

iVoterGuide, an online, national resource that gathers key voting information for elections across the country, provides crucial research to assist voters in choosing the candidate that best represents their values. The extensive research iVoterGuide compiles for each candidate includes links to their websites and social media accounts, ideological donation reports given to or by the candidates, as well as any voting ratings earned for those who have previously held office. All candidates were also given the opportunity to fill out iVoterGuide’s questionnaire, which clarifies their personal stances on high profile political issues. All candidate information can be found here.

“The time is now,” said iVoterGuide president Debbie Wuthnow. “Californians have the opportunity to enact real change in their home state, and we strongly urge all voters to utilize their constitutional right to vote and have their voices heard.”

Latest polls indicate that the state is still fairly split over the option to recall Governor Newsom, with Newsom leading the majority but with only a slight margin. With so many Californians yet to vote, this last day could prove pivotal in the outcome.

Wuthnow encourages undecided voters to ask themselves several crucial questions: “Do voters agree with Governor Newsom’s stances on abortion, his lockdown of churches, businesses and schools, support for LGBTQ policies, and his views on taxes, green energy, and the homeless crisis? Do some undecided voters even remember his positions? iVoterGuide provides documented reminders of his policies and executive orders, all referenced so that voters can verify for themselves.” Wuthnow added, “iVoterGuide is here to help responsible voters better determine which candidate can be trusted with the power to respect the freedoms that bind us together as a nation, and we strongly encourage eligible voters to make their voices heard while they still can.”

iVoterGuide is a one-stop resource for candidate ratings and election information. In 2020, iVoterGuide’s expert researchers gave an in-depth analysis—and overall rating—for 8,000+ candidates in more than 3,300 races nationwide. Additionally, iVoterGuide offers election dates, registration deadlines, polling locations, and other information needed to help Americans vote wisely and identify candidates on the ballot who share their values.

Related tools are also available to inform family, neighbors, and business associates about getting their own personalized ballots. iVoterGuide is helping to restore the principles of limited government, free enterprise, and traditional American values. iVoterGuide also created Pray for Leaders, an easy way for voters to pray by name for the officials whom they personally have the authority to elect.
