Giving A Voice to the Unborn

ORLANDO, Fla.— For 33 years, Life Chains have formed across the United States and Canada—and the world—to make a public, prayerful, peaceful witness against legalized abortion. The organization stands united in prayer and repentance on the first Sunday of every October. Although the COVID 19 pandemic interfered with the annual Life Chain last October, plans are already underway for a renewed effort for October 2021.
Life Chains are built upon the promise that God gave to His people in 2 Chronicles 7. God said to Solomon in verses 14-15, “[if] my people, who bear My name, humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. My eyes will now be open and My ears attentive to prayer from this place.”
Timothy Plan Founder and President Art Ally salutes National Life Chain, and Royce Dunn, their leader of 33 years who stepped down in October 2020, for their continued fight against abortion. “National Life Chain has sought to lead the body of Christ in repentance and prayer regarding abortion,” Ally stated. “The organization exists as a call to the Church–to humble ourselves, pray, seek, and turn. They tell us that ‘when we gather together, and come before our God, we believe that abortion will end.’
“When I hear those words, I am reminded of 1 Cor 13:13. ‘And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.’ Life Chain’s strength is expressing God’s love for human life. They are giving a voice to the unborn.”
