June 28, 2021

ATLANTA  At last week’s National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) 2021 Convention, NRB announced numerous award recipients, including bestselling author Dr. Michael Youssef, and recognized outstanding work in Christian communications. The annual NRB Awards program is designed to encourage excellence in production, service to the community, faithfulness to the mission, commitment to the Gospel, and personal integrity.

Dr. Youssef was honored with NRB’s highest Christian television award, Station of the Year, to KINGDOM SAT. Dr. Youssef founded KINGDOM SAT in 2009 to present the best teaching from both the East and West, and to fulfill the vision God gave him to reach the lost and support the saints ministering to those in the Middle East and North Africa.

Dr. Youssef, born in Egypt and raised in Lebanon, knows and loves the people of the region. His heart for the people of the Middle East is evident throughout the KINGDOM SAT programming lineup. In his newest book, Hope for This Present Crisis, Youssef summarizes the vision and focus of KINGDOM SAT and his heart for the Middle East.

“We must do what Christians have done since the early days of Christianity: Stand firm for the truth, and hold fast to Jesus’ teaching,” Dr. Youssef advises. “If you hold to the teachings of Jesus, then you will know His truth, and His truth will set you free.”

KINGDOM SAT is known for its unique mission and creative approach to spreading the Gospel to parts of the world where preaching the Gospel is difficult and even illegal. KINGDOM SAT reaches over 195 million homes throughout primarily Arabic-speaking populations.

Dr. Youssef was also honored with the Board of Directors Award, one of the NRB Special Service Awards presented to individuals and organizations who model excellence, integrity, and longstanding service in Christian communications.
