DAYTON, OHIO — At this time in history when Americans want the simple truth about the coronavirus pandemic, the current administration and other critical cultural events, an important Gallup poll reports that the “public remains largely distrustful of the mass media.”  According to the poll, only four in 10 U.S. adults say they have “a great deal” (9%) or “a fair amount” (31%) of trust and confidence in the media to report the news “fully, accurately, and fairly,” while six in 10 have “not very much” trust (27%) or “none at all” (33%). This distrust has skyrocketed because of the mainstream media bias.

Kimberly Fletcher, founder and president of Moms for America® (www.MomsforAmerica.us) is vigorously attempting to help Americans understand that action must be taken by U.S. citizens to fight back against propaganda and bias in the media. Fletcher references the darkest time in Jewish history to make her point:

“I am reminded of a story about Christians living in Nazi Germany. Each week, these Christians saw and heard a train pass their church during Sunday service. They could hear the cries of the people on the train, and knew right away that the passengers were Jews, on their way to death. Unable to help – and saddened by what they were witnessing – the Christians chose to loudly sing out their praises to God, hoping to drown out the maddening screams and cries of those on the train.

“We can’t be like those Christians. We can’t drown out the media lies with our silence, the way the Christians drowned out the Jews’ cries with song. We must be heard. We must require justice when elections are stolen. We must point out the hypocrisy when NY Governor Cuomo is accused of sexual harassment and it is barely covered in the media. We must demand appropriate descriptions of events – not permit words like ‘siege,’ ‘chaos,’ ‘coup’ or ‘poison’ to be used when ‘peaceful protest,’ ‘heroes,’ ‘religious freedoms’ or ‘truth’ are the terms that should be utilized.”

Fletcher laments that the mainstream media is rewriting history as it is happening. “They are creating their own narrative based on a hate-spewing agenda. I urge Americans to stop drowning out the mainstream media noise – to stand up, rise up and hold dear to the truth. I am constantly amazed by the number of people who do not realize that most of the American media are a biased, agenda-pushing, narrative-controlling group of deceivers who are trying their hardest to divert the attention of Americans who are, for all intents and purposes, being encouraged to turn a blind eye to media lies.

On January 7, 2021, the late Rush Limbaugh talked about this hypocrisy, and how the mainstream media was presenting the entire Republican party – including President Trump – as an poisonously organized, riotous group that attempted “a bloody coup” on our Capitol the day before. In his broadcast, Limbaugh described how the media lied about the events that took place on January 6 in Washington, D.C. – how so much was misrepresented and embellished.

Fletcher was present in Washington, D.C. on January 6, and personally witnessed a 30-minute disturbance by a few radicals in amongst hundreds of thousands of people who were just peaceably assembling. She states, “Joe Biden introduced the ‘under siege’ phrase that became the standard talking point for media. The same media that repeated his ‘peaceful protestors’ claim as ANTIFA and BLM burned cities and attacked citizens as justifiable acts.”

Fletcher remembers Limbaugh’s January 7 broadcast well. “I listened to Rush on January 7, hopeful that all Americans were hearing him as well. Really letting his words sink in:

“Imagine how things might be different today if Congress was as mad, was as outraged when private businesses were being burned to the ground and innocent citizens were attacked this past summer during riots across the country in Seattle; Minneapolis; New York City; Portland, Oregon.

“Imagine if there was anything near the degree of outrage over all of that. When it was not the political class property being torched and destroyed, it was not the political class’s lifestyle that was being summarily attacked, nothing was done about it. In fact, it was ignored in the mainstream media. The mainstream media said, ‘What riot? Where? What — what violence? There isn’t any violence. There’s peaceful protests out there. What are you talking about? There’s no riots.’

“And they didn’t show any videotape of any of the burning and the looting and all that. You had to search for it yourself [because] there isn’t any news anymore, and if you had no idea that it has happened you wouldn’t even know to go look for it [because] you didn’t know it had happened.”

“We can no longer ignore what they are saying, and who they are saying it about,” concluded Fletcher. “For years now, we have watched as progressives pound their chests as heroes protesting conservative efforts to preserve our country – often presented in the media as atrocities – yet when the right tries to speak up about an injustice coming from the left (think about all of the riots that have been referred to as ‘peaceful protests’ by our current administration), accusations from the mainstream media fly, and the right is silenced immediately. We are being drowned out by their noise. And it needs to stop.”
